The Northern Territory Government (NTG) is committed to the responsible release of titled land for residential development, working with the Land Development Corporation to progressively release 449 residential lots in the Kilgariff Estate.
Stage 2
Incorporating 87 residential lots, construction has begun in Kilgariff stage two with land expected to be titled in May 2022. The Kilgariff Estate, south of the Gap, delivers a mix of affordable housing options.
Future land release
362 lots in Kilgariff are also being fast-tracked for release with NTG investing in infrastructure in the Estate to support future population growth in the region.
The residential estate will be supported by a new multi-sport precinct which will include a new home for Rugby League and Rugby Union in the Red Centre.
Multi-purpose community precinct
This investment in infrastructure will also see the construction of a new multi-purpose community precinct within the Kilgariff Estate that will include a new home for Rugby.
The multi-purpose community precinct will incorporate two playing surfaces and supporting infrastructure for use by rugby, other sports, and the general community.
NTG will work with rugby codes to build a facility that creates a sustainable future for the sport in the Kilgariff Estate, while providing green community spaces for the community of Kilgariff.
